Mariotto Albertinelli
Mariotto Albertinelli (1474–1515) was an accomplished painter of the Florentine Renaissance, admired for his harmonious compositions, graceful figures, and luminous color. A close friend and collaborator of Fra Bartolomeo, Albertinelli shared a workshop with him and adopted many of his stylistic qualities, while also drawing inspiration from Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael.
His most celebrated work is the Visitation (1503, Uffizi Gallery), praised for its serene balance, soft modeling, and Renaissance elegance. Other works, including numerous altarpieces and devotional paintings, reveal his skill in blending spiritual intensity with classical harmony. Although his career was brief, Albertinelli’s art reflects the refined ideals of the High Renaissance in Florence.
