Jacopo Bellini
Jacopo Bellini (c. 1400–1470) is regarded as one of the founding figures of the Venetian Renaissance. A pupil of Gentile da Fabriano and the father of celebrated painters Gentile Bellini and Giovanni Bellini, Jacopo introduced Renaissance ideals of perspective, naturalism, and spatial harmony into Venetian art, laying the groundwork for one of the greatest schools of painting in history.
His surviving sketchbooks, preserved in London and Paris, reveal his extraordinary imagination, mastery of perspective, and interest in architecture and classical motifs. These drawings influenced not only his sons but also his son-in-law, Andrea Mantegna, creating a legacy that bridged Gothic tradition with Renaissance innovation.
At Blue Surf Art, we honor Jacopo Bellini’s importance by offering museum-quality, hand-painted oil reproductionsof works attributed to him and his circle. Each reproduction captures the refined elegance, careful design, and visionary artistry of the originals. Perfect for collectors of early Renaissance and Venetian art, our reproductions allow you to own a piece of the artistic foundation that shaped masters like Giovanni Bellini, Mantegna, and Titian.
